The new year has begun in full swing, and we are anticipating what it will bring. We expect to experience both pleasant and challenging events, but we remain hopeful that the coming weeks and months will bring more joy into our lives. We are also eagerly awaiting developments within our company. After last year's difficulties, we are keen to see how the market situation and our company as a whole will evolve. As we rely on the operation of hotel and restaurant services, this is a concern shared by all entrepreneurs in the HoReCa segment.

Although we remain hopeful for a better tomorrow, one unchanging fact remains that will not please our regular or future customers. Regardless of whether the pandemic situation stabilizes, the rise in prices across society is substantial, and we feel this impact daily in nearly all areas of our lives. This trend has affected our company as well, forcing us to respond to the overall economic developments. The continually rising prices of cotton and other materials mean that we too must increase the prices of our products. However, we assure you that we will do our utmost to minimize the impact of this price increase on our clients.

 

“Compared to our last cotton orders in August of last year, the price of cotton has increased by thirty percent. This change will also lead to an increase in our prices, although the adjustment will be implemented gradually,” said Milan Franek, CEO of Horeca Textil. The price of cotton is expected to rise the most in the first half of 2022. Additionally, it's not just cotton that's affected; we are also facing higher costs for polyester, another commonly used raw material.

 

“We are well aware of the rising costs of oil and oil products, and polyester falls into this category of materials. This increase has led to higher current prices. However, we are doing everything possible to minimize the impact of this price hike. Additionally, we must also consider the recent rise in overall labor costs,”  explains M. Franek. He notes that the exact percentage increase in polyester prices is not yet determined.

So what’s the solution to this challenging situation? Manufacturers recommend purchasing selected textile and cotton products as soon as possible, while older stock is still available. Given the market trends, the prices of cotton and polyester are expected to rise further throughout 2022. Don’t miss out—act now to take advantage of current prices before they increase.

 

"Definitely don’t expect discounts in the coming months. The best approach is for clients to purchase products at the current prices by the end of March at the latest,"  recommends Franek.

Examining the market, it’s clear that prices are rising not only for raw materials but also for energy, gas, and fuel. This inflation will inevitably lead to further increases in the prices of all products.

Polyester’s quick-drying properties and resistance to shrinkage and deformation ensure these sheets will withstand frequent washing without losing their quality.

New Machines and Innovations for 2022

We’re excited to share some of the new advancements we have in store for you this year. Alongside the fresh product offerings we’ve mentioned, we’re also enhancing our production capabilities with state-of-the-art machinery.

Among our new additions, we’ve introduced a machine specifically designed for the perfect finishing of tablecloths. We’ve also expanded our machine park with a device for filling cushions with soft balls and another that attaches MICROFLEX hooks to curtains. These updates represent significant progress, and while they may not be visible to our customers, our team is already experiencing the benefits.
